Welcome to my NYC travel blog post! It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally here.

I get asked so many questions about the destinations I have travelled, but I thought I would start with NYC because that seems to be the most popular.. and it’s my favourite city.

- ARLO hotels

I have never personally stayed here, but it is an affordable trendy spot! There is one hotel in the heart of soho, and another in NoMad. I tend to book accomodation last minute and the ARLO hotels are very popular…so book in advance.

- Andaz 5th Ave

A wee bit more up-scale, it is smack bang on 5th Ave! Prime shopping location.

- Omni Berkshire Place

We stayed here in my latest trip to NY because it was quite last minute, and a busy time around Easter everything was booked up! We knew we wanted to stay near central park, and eventually found this hotel after days of searching. The location was amazing, and the overall experience was great too.

The butchers daughter -  Vegetarian cafe. I would, if I could, eat the whole menu.

Cafe Gitane

Little Collins - If you love avocado toast, go here!

Two Hands - Australian breakfast, good coffee.

BlueStone Lane - Coffee is great, avocado on toast is a staple or oatmeal in the winter.

Lexington Brass

Blue Bottle Coffee - Dotted around the city, but there is one right next door to the Omni Berkshire Hotel.

BY CHLOE.  - Vegan heaven! for lunch too.

Levain Bakery - Well-known for their mouthwatering cookies.

Lunch & Dinner:

The Little Beet

Juliana's Pizza - Known as the best pizza in Brooklyn! So there is usually a line. Walk over the bridge and grab a bite here.

Miznon - Get the Cauliflower head, you won't regret it.

Dean & Deluca - Best place to stop for coffee and lunch when you are on the go. Super fresh sushi/rolls and yum pastries!

Jacks Wife Freda - Will be busy, but worth the wait.

The Sosta - Cute crinkled pasta. Check the gram.

Catch NYC - Best known for the 'Hit Me' dessert, but the drinks and dinner are also delicious!

The Polo Bar Restaurant - Really loved the atmosphere here, especially if you are into interior design.

*Also the best chocolate cake I have ever tasted for dessert.

Balthazar - Serves traditional french fare... on the fancy side + a diviiine experience.
Bar Pitti

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream

- Walk through Central Park and pick up a bagel from one park stalls.

*The cream cheese and jam combo is a real winner.

- Broadway Show. - I absolutely love shows, and wouldn’t leave without seeing one!

- The High-Line.

- Staten Island Ferry.

- Top Of The Rock (I personally think the view is better than Empire State, but obvi the ES is iconic*.)

- Empire State Building. *

- Guggenheim Museum.

- One World Trade centre + 9/11 memorial.

- Metropolitan Museum of Art.

- Grand Central Station.
